Express to Success Chapter Names Photographer Sue Evans Woman of the Year

Sue EvansExpress to Success Network recently named Sue Evans of Sue Evans Photography as their 2009 Woman of the Year. Ms. Evans has been a member of E2S since it’s inception in 2004. She was a member of the Board of Directors and was in charge of member communications, a position she held for three years. Ms. Evans was a nominee for the 2008 Alameda County Art Award and her photography and creative products have been shown and are sold in Pleasanton’s Worthington Gallery West, and various retail stores in Pleasanton and Livermore. Her work, which highlights nature and historic locations in the Tri-Valley, can also be seen in a local corporate lobby.

Ms. Evans’ mission with her nature photography is to help others relax and feel a deeper connection with their natural world. It is her hope this will motivate people to help preserve the world for future generations.

A 27-year resident of Pleasanton, Ms. Evans believes in giving back to the community. She has organized many fundraisers for local nonprofit groups. Most recently, she created a custom recycle grocery bag and led a hike for U-11 RAGE soccer girls to benefit the Pleasanton Firehouse Art Project. She and the RAGE U-15 girls raised over $6200 for Open Heart Kitchen, an organization that provides nutritious meals free of charge or qualification to the needy people of the Tri-Valley area.
